Saving Files

Saving of files is disabled in trial versions- upgrade to the full version to use this facility.

Use the File>Save menu command to open a save-file dialog window. By default, CabinetCut will suggest an abbreviated form of the text that is entered in the Project: text field as the file name. This is only a suggestion, and can be changed in the save-file dialog window.

As of version 1.05, when you save a file you will also be offered the option to save as a .csv file. This is recommended as future upgrades of CabinetCut may not be able to open files generated by earlier versions, but will always be able to import .csv files. This facility can be turned off from the preferences window. The .csv file can be opened in any spreadsheet program such as Excel .

To open a saved file, go to the File>Open menu command and navigate to the file.

CabinetCut will remember the file path of the last opened or saved file, and use it as the suggested location when the save-file or open-file dialog is next used.
