Importing *.csv files

If you have a list of panels to be optimised that was created in another program, such as excel or other spreadsheet applications, or as a spreadsheet in a CAD program, save the list in the format .csv (comma separated values).

Make sure that the list is formatted in the same order as the panel entry fields in CabinetCut

name, qty, height, width

Use the "File> Import .csv File" menu command to navigate to the correct file.

Each row of the file that is in the correct format will be imported, as if the data had been manually entered. Blank fields will be ignored.

As of version 1.05, CabinetCut allows the export of .csv files as well. This file can then be opened by any spreadsheet application. The format of this file includes a Header: section which includes information such as Project:, Material:, Kerf:, Units:

If you use this format to write cutting lists in a spreadsheet program, it can be imported directly into CabinetCut.
