Entering and Editing Data

On the right hand side of the main window are all the entry and editing controls.

The top line is space to enter the project name- this will be printed onto each page and cutting list produced, as well as be suggested as a name to save the file.

Size of Sheet Stock

Enter the type of material and the thickness, which will also be printed on each page of the cutting list. This is important only if there is a risk of confusion with different types of material on the same job. Then select the pre-set material size from the pull-down list. (sizes can be changed in the preferences window)

Panels required to be cut from sheet stock

Here is where to enter all the panels- the name field can be left blank, but it is a useful identifier. Enter the quanty, height and width of each panel by tabbing through the field; once a panel is entered, either press the Enter key or push the enter button and the panel data is confirmed. Continue entering as many panels as required.

In the preference window, there is an option to enter panels on the last tab; when this is selected, once you have entered the Width field, on the next tab, the panel data is entered, and focus shifts back to the Name field. This can be used for very fast data entry.

To edit item in the table, click on the item line in the table; the data from the item line will be copied to the edit boxes above. The edit-boxes will turn yellow to show you are in edit mode. When you have made the changes required, tab out of the width field, or press REMOVE to confirm the edit.
